NJ Licensed Electrologist number: 25ML00025000

Background: Courtney has an extensive background in the medical field holding clinical and management roles in the dermatology and plastic surgery specialties for a total of 11 years experience. Courtney had the very fortunate experience of working alongside and learning from many great doctors. Her medical and cosmetic experience makes her especially adept and comfortable at “difficult” cases related to electrolysis including folliculitis, ingrown hair removal, hidradenitis, post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, and other skin conditions.

Personally: Courtney is a daughter, sister, wife, friend, fur mom, and aunt. Courtney enjoys being outdoors -including hiking and walks and going to the beach and outdoor dining is her favorite! She enjoys being active and social but I also like to cuddle up and read a good book or watch a movie. I enjoy meeting and talking to all types of people, I can’t think of anything more amazing or interesting. I like to talk and get to know my clients, however, if you don’t want to talk I’m not offended because this is your time, not mine. I like to laugh and I think that’s the key to getting through most things. I love hearing from you guys about books you’ve read and adding them to my TBR lists, and shows and movies we have in common or that you recommend. I’m a HUGE dog person, please show off your pups to me any chance you get! I love to travel and live music. I cannot tolerate bullying or judgment - this is definitely a no judgment zone!

What made you become an electrologist?

Honestly, it kind of happened upon me. It was a suggestion and I hadn’t been too familiar with it as I was more familiar with laser hair reduction treatments but I immediately got on board with it. It seems to me that this was actually what I was meant to do as I personally at that time was dealing with hair growth that was stimulated by laser hair reduction treatments on my lateral cheek area and chin. I did have successful laser hair reduction treatments to the bikini, underarms, and leg areas. I thought electrolysis was a “dated” treatment, I’m ashamed to admit. I did my research and was shocked how the laser industry was able to market itself as a hair removal technique and take over the market since it is not regulated by the FDA and can claim whatever it wants to. I didn’t want to admit the darker hairs were from a laser, but if it’s too good to be true.. With my background in the medical field, especially the dermatology and plastic surgery specialties, the coursework wasn’t out of left field nor was picking up the technique and it came pretty naturally to me. I love to accomplish things, so it makes me extremely happy to finally achieve permanent hair removal and give you so many things back - time, confidence, happiness, and smooth skin.

I attempted to take a break and step away from electrolysis but it was something that I missed in my life and that’s mostly because of you guys! You guys are/have been great to get to know and laugh and learn with and it was definitely a piece that was missing.
